Hi Everyone! First time poster here (silent observer for about a year!)
I have taken the GMAT twice. First without little to no prep in October 2019, 650(Q47, V33, IR8). I just gave it again after a year since i decided not to apply for MBA programs last year due to certain personal circumstances. This time around i got a 690(Q44, V40, IR6) and am extremely disappointed in my Quant score. I guess I missed a few easy questions and that just dropped my score. In all the practice tests, i was averaging Q47-49 and V40-V44 (the last one was actually 770 Q49 V46) but regardless what matters is test day performance...
Moving on, a little bit of background:
Ethnicity/ nationality: Pakistani
Academic Background: 1:1 in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from University College London (UCL)
Work Experience: 2 years right now (3 at time of enrolment) - Approx 1.5 years in a boutique management consulting firm in Pakistan (projects in the middle east, turkey and pakistan). Approx 1.5 years (including the next 6 months or so) with the data collection and analysis unit of a well-known research centre/non-profit. During this time, i also launched an education app dedicated towards a local test which I ran for a year and then sold to a well-known organisation.
Extra-curricular - Involvement in Multiple community development projects such as water pipeline access to underprivileged areas. Habitat preservation for wildlife, trekking
Target Schools: Preferably UK but also looking at Europe. LBS, Said, Judge, Imperial, HEC, LSE (Management & Strategy)
Now, keeping in mind that i am on the younger side of the age bracket for typical MBA's (25 at the time of enrolment) I expect GMAT to play a huge role in the admissions process. I'm a little unsure about my GMAT score and whether a retake would be beneficial, could someone please guide!
P.S. if someone could point out other programs that i would be a good fit for?
Oh, and my GRE is 323 (161Q 162V) Gave it back in late 2018
Thankyou in advance for your help!
