I was scoring in the low 600s and even a 570 once on the Kaplan Premiere CD-Rom test. I got a 720 on the real thing. the 570 was early on in my testing, and even before I took the thing the first time. Still, I scored 80 points higher than the Kaplan 570. Got a 650, found GMATCLub, started studying harder. Took the other Kaplan Tests on the CD and got a 650. About a month later I took the GMAT retake and got a 720. I didn't finish any of the OG books. Makes me wonder what I could have scored had I worked it out more and gotten a 690 on a Kaplan test :(

If you're hitting near a 700 on the Kaplan tests, you're ready to tackle the real thing.

I'm on the same boat.

I got a 690 a few weeks ago with Q51 and was able to get similar scores a few more times, however, I wasn't able to get a decent Q in MGMAT CATs until today, where I guess my timing was much better than other attempts. I finally got a Q47, so I guess I'm about ready for the real thing. I hope a kaplan 690 means a solid 700+ :)

Your verbal is impressive, How did you pull that off? Have you taken the GMATprep?

Good luck!

yeah ur a beast, i got a 700 (45Q 41V) on the real thing and I think the last Kaplan i took like a week before i scored a 580 or sth. I have scored higher since but I believe you can expect a lot higher on the real thing. I'm not sure how to review your correct/incorrect answers on Kaplan Premier 2008, did you have the same problem?

My 690 score was from the free practice test off the Kaplan website.

Is this the same thing as Kaplan premiere or much easier?

not sure, I have only used the Kaplan Premier, and I'm pretty sure thats what the other ppl are talking about too; it would make sense that it would be a similar test. I would do GMATprep test, these are much more reliable in their scoring.

I would go for GMATprep test instead of wildly speculating or extrapolating (I was also doing the same before) my score based on Kaplan tests.

I would say go with GMATprep if you want to see where you stand, but as far as practice I would go with Kaplan. the thing with kaplan is it isn't CAT, they just keep pumping hard questions at you the whole time, which mentally prepares you for endurance and such you will need on the real GMAT. Post the score you get with GMATprep tho so I can rate how accurate the Internet tests are if you could.
