congrats! 690 is already a good score. But if you're gearing up for a retake, good luck!

Dude, Its good to know that you have your analysis in place.
Just Keep reviewing the error log this time (if you plan to retake) and i am sure you will cross the 700 mark.
Good luck !

Thanks for your support, guys. You folks are such a motivational bunch!

I know that 690 is not a bad score by any means but it is just that beating the 700 barrier creates a psychological advantage to the applicant. Also, I've been pissed with myself for not putting my best foot forward for verbal. I will need to practice enough so that i break the 40 score in verbal that would put me in 720+ range. (assuming my quant does not tank correspondingly!). Anyways, thanks for listening to my rant....It is just painful to prep and sit for a 4-hour exam all over again but given that I am such a natural masochist, I think i will do it anyways! :D

My approach for the next time is to go overdrive on verbal. Please let me know what you guys think about this strategy:

1. I did the MGMAT CR once as part of my previous prep. I also have a copy of the Powerscore CR bible. Do you think i should focus on Powerscore this time around? Does it even matter? Or should i stick with MGMAT CR?

2. I will do the MGMAT SC all over again this time. Any other practice material for SCs and CRs that you would suggest? How good are the 1000SCs and 1000CRs?

3. I exhausted most of the MGMAT and GMATprep tests. I can reset and do them all over. Any other tests that you would recommend? Also, Should i take all the tests 2 weeks before the test and focus on the first couple of weeks on strengthening my verbal skills?

I guess i am asking too many questions. Its just that i do not exactly know what i need to do to ace it the next time.

Thanks again for your inputs.

Good score which was pretty consistent with your practice CATs. If you work hard on SC and get good at memorizing and recognizing all of the rules, tells, idioms, etc then it should help you get into the 40's on verbal. The MGMAT SC book is a very good one and it helps if you do a lot of practice problems.
