690......sad not to be in the 700 hundred club.

Question

Hi,

This was my second attempt. In the first attempt i was underprepared and i scored 660.
This time i underperformed. Sad.........

My performance over last 2 months while i was preparing:

Old GMATPrep 1 --> 700
Old GmatPrep 2 --> 710
MGMAT 1 --------> 620
MGMAT 2 --------> 630
MGMAT 3 --------> 660
MGMAT 4 --------> 660
MGMAT 5 --------> 720
MGMAT 6 --------> 740
Latest GPrep 1 ---> 750
Latest GPrep 2 ---> 710

I haven't seen such a tough quant paper in any of the mocks that i attempted.
While i was attempting the quant section i thought that i had screwed up as i had to guess last 5 questions. This was the first time ever that i couldn't complete quant in time. First attempt it was piece of cake.

Verbal went smooth,i finished in time but.....

Anyhow, i scored Q48 V35(88 percentile) ....and i am not sure where i stand after all this.

Anyways, GMC has been the single source of inspiration and help for me over the last one year. Its been wonderful to be a part of this forum. This place rocks \m/

Cheer up man, this is a great score. My suggestion will be to say good bye to GMAT & start your application process. 10 points difference doesnt matter much. I was curious about the actual verbal questions, how did your verbal part go in real test???

One more issue: Why didn't you go for Knewton after first attempt??

Not sure why i didn't go for Knewton....just grabbed whatever best i could from gmc

Also, i wanted to keep it simple this time....i practiced less questions but i made sure i drilled down to the concepts involved.... I decided to stick to Manhattan SC and Manhattan test series. Then OG 10, 12 and GMAT prep. I devoted a lot of time to quant as well. Verbal looked easy to me...as compared to Quant. I also finished in time. Not sure where i went wrong... I think i had a lapse of concentration in between...and i was getting impatient while i was doing verbal... Verbal i would say was pretty much the same level when compared to Dec 2009 attempt. Anyways....its done for me....and this was my best shot so far at any exams. Now application....i would need a lot of help from GMC during application....first 3 months this year i was totally hooked on to gmc while i was researching curriculum and b-schools. Regards
