Well... technically you can get 700 with as little as V35, but in general, yes, you need a good Verbal score to get over the 700 bump.

P.S. Q60 does not exist :) It only goes up to Q51.

Some where I had read that verbal (41) and quant (37) scores are extrapolated to 60; that's why I wrote Q60.

Anyway thanks for clarifying.

You are actually correct - the scores do go to 60 (theoretically) but practically it is impossible to score more than 51.

thanks for the table, bb. but somehow it gives me a feeling that it is theoretically possible to get 800 with a Q48 (84 percentile) if someone gets perfect score in verbal. is this true since we know it's possible to get Q48 even with 10-11 mistakes in quant?
