Where can we practice BF CRs? There's only 1 in the official guide. The one I got on my GMAT was also confusing. I used POE to get it down to 2 answer choices & both were worded almost the same except for a key word change. I agree with srijay007 in that the CRs were tougher than anything official , & I missed many of them. SC was also more difficult (looooong) after the first few.

Congratulations. :) Great work. Nice to know that our regular forum members are doing great on their GMAT. good luck with your applications. Would you mind telling us how you prepped for each section... i mean Quant/SC/CR/RC..

Pradeep, to answer your question, BF = Bold faced... i dont know where that terminology came from. Check the absolute last CR in OG. thats
what is called a Bold Faced CR.

Best Wishes

Where can we practice BF CRs?

Hi riteshb
I know what you are saying. There is almost no literature available for BFs. My suggestion is u shud go thru the around 10 BFs discussed in GMAT Club (Use the Search and type in BF/Bold Face). They are really good. I know that in some of the BF posts we had huge debates on diff between fact v/s principle, conclusion v/s main point etc. These discussions will help you understand the logic and tricks of BFs. Also in one of the posts DJ attached a word file with 10 BFs which were also good. They don't have OA though, but you can always discuss them in the forum.
Good Luck!

I am bit scared after reading your analysis of maths and CR questions.
When you say tough like hell.. do you mean even tougher than toughest of kaplan questions and last 25-50 DS questions of OG?

Hi crackgmat750

Sorry if I scared you!
They are not "literally" tough as hell. They are definitely solvable. But whether we can solve it in less than 2 mins is the challenge!
Let me give you an example: Somewhere around the 20's I got a Q very similar to this post:
https://www.gmatclub.com/phpbb/viewtopic ... hlight=170
This problem is very tricky and to be able to enumerate all possible combinations and be confident of your answer in less than 2 mins becomes a challenge. And I got around 5 DS like this -> with exponents and mods out of which a couple were DSs with multiple variables somewhat like ax/by ... where I had to enumerate different cases (like if a-ve x+ve b+ve c+ve... or if x-ve a+ve b-ve c-ve etc.etc.) This gets very time consuming and confusing

From my experience the key towards a high Q score is doing very good in DS (PS are mostly solvable though ETS throws a calculation intensive problem once in while). So for DS have a plan and practise how quickly you can build test cases and enumerate. After some practise you will see that you can choose the cases more efficiently based on the DS problems (like in which problem u will need test cases with fractions and non-fractions or in which problems u will need tests cases with +ve and -ve numbers etc etc.)

Hope this helps, and
Good Luck

Srijay
