Hi All,
First of all thanks to all the members of GMAT club for posting their experiences, tips, do's and dont's. All these things really helped me a lot while preparing and while giving GMAT.
I finally gave my GMAT exam on 14/03/2010 and got 700 (Q:50 and V:33). This was my first atempt so not sure whether to be happy with this score or to be lill sad that why i din't get more

Well, though you people have already helped me a lot with your valuable suggestions, but I again need your help to knwo what to do after this score. What I want to know is that is this score sufficient to get call from some good and reputed schools around the world or should I prepare again aiming for 730+?
You suggestions and thoughts will be really helpful for me in deciding my future course and I'll be really thankful, infact indebted, to all of you.
Regarding my background, I'm a software engg. in India with around 4 yrs 8 mnths of total experience in software field only. Want to switch from this field to either Marketing or PR and mainly interested in executive/1 yr MBA.

Congrats on the great score. You really rocked the Quant.
For how long did you prepare? What did you do to get ready for the Verbal section?
In terms of admissions to top schools, 700 is often the unofficial cutoff. The rest depends on work experience, grades, etc. Obviously, the higher the score the better. But a 700 is nothing to be ashamed of.
Pardon the marketing, but you could sign up with Knewton and -- bc of our 50-pt money-back guarantee -- get a full refund if don't you get up to 750.
