Hi,
I recently scored a 700 on GMAT. I wasn't impressed by the first glance at the score but later I realize that my Quant score is a good score since a score>=50 is considered good. The only thing that can jeopardize my application from the perspective of GMAt score is my Verbal score( a dismal 35). Instead of retaking should I focus more on my application essays since I am planning to apply this October. Before the question arises in your mind, here's the answer-Yes I am Indian. I graduated from a reputed engineering college with a GPA of 3.7 within the top 0.5% of my college strength and top 20% of my discipline's and since then (for 2.9 years) I have been working in Morgan Stanley. Please let me know of your thoughts.
A 700 is a totally good and very respectable score. The question is: What are your goals? Where are you planning on applying?
The thing is a 700 is likely to be low for Top 10 schools even with Morgan Stanley on your resume. And the first thing I would ask myself if I were you is: do I consider retaking? And to this, I may have some thoughts for you. Check out this post I wrote a while back about Indian candidates and the GMAT:

And if you have anyyyyything else, don't hesitate.
Best,
