Hello everyone
First & foremost I would like to thank everybody on this forum. In my opinion gmatclub is the best forum for GMAT prep and is second to none.
Currently, I am in a dilemma. Almost 9 months ago I took my first GMAT attempt and scored a 700 (Q48 V38). At that time I was quite disappointed as it was not a 700+ score and on my GMAT prep tests I was constantly scoring in range of 740-760.
Fast forward to today and I am on crossroads. I have just finished my B.E with a CGPA of 3.8 and got a nice job. But, my joining is in October. I have 2 months in hand that I can use according to my will. Now, I want to ask you guys,
should I use these 2 months to prepare for GMAT again ?.
I am planning to apply to Top-10 B-schools in US in next 3 years. Will 700 be not enough to crack them??
700 is good enough to apply to top schools. Their average score is 710-720 so you are right about there. If you were going to apply this year, the post would have ended here with an added advice - work hard on your apps now.
But you are going to apply 3 yrs down the line. Plus, you have 2 months free and clear. Why wouldn't you want to work toward making every aspect of your application above average/outstanding? Use this time wisely. Take the test again but only after you see reasonable improvement. Get a 750+ and then forget about GMAT.
