thank you! Strangely enough, I didn't spend as much time preparing for verbal as I did for math. But the preparation I did do was the OG11, many of the 1000 verbal problems, and some of the Kaplan 800. Also I believe going through the verbal forum and participating in the questions people posted there was a large help. Those are usually good practice for tough problems.
For the sentence correction as well as the math I believe as you practice the problems, try to notice the patterns in the questions. You start to see many questions in which the sentence contains the same type of mistake. Once you start noticing these patterns, your SC score will improve.
I didn't do fantastic on math, but I think is just like the SC. Its 20 different problems, that are worded differently, and once you get used to the questions and notice the patterns in the questions your golden.
I was really about 10 minutes ahead of the average time during most of the verbal part. I was worried that meant I carelessly breezed through it.
Quite strange for a physics major to perform better on the verbal, but I'll take it
