Hi JonAdmissionado,
School till 10th grade: Sophia Senior Sec Girls School.
School 11th-12th grade : National Institute of Open Schooling ( due to medical emergencies at home)
College : Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Tech. (DAIICT) - top 10 tech college on India

Work:
SapientNitro
1.5 years as associate technology inclusive of 6 months training - worked on niche skills such as Adobe CQ5 & OpenText
1 year till date as Associate Program Manager : worked on multiple cliens - multiple projects under a VP - revenue, margins, invoicing , profit and loss analysis.

Extra-Curriculars :
College and Office Dance Team Lead, Salsa and Kathak trained, Intra and Inter Event co-ordinator at college, Worked at a rural NGO for a month in college, active member of Sapient's NGO Prayaas.

I want to go into brand management, especially Luxury Retail and Management.

Right now I have only decide on Rotman, NYU( R3, as suggested by gmatclub esperts), ISB, NUS as only their R2 deadlines can be met. Applying to R3 deadlines has been discouraged throughout the forum so not even considering it. Quite worried about the deadlines. Should I consider R3 deadlines? Which colleges would best suit my interest?

Hey there,
Okay so first of all, I think you should reconsider your strategy. Applying Round 3 this year makes no sense at all, not only is it harder, but you have no "Reason" I can see for applying to R3. You have anyways Work experience that is on the low side. And it would be VERY advantageous for you to wait till next year. And that's what I would suggest.

I think your school list is a good one for starters. I would also suggest you add ESSEC and Boconni to your list. They both have specialized Luxury programs, and as you know its an industry that is far more about where you are and who you know that the degree. And being in Milan or Paris or NY is perfect. You can also consider INSEAD, which even if they dont have a luxury program per se, the Paris location will be great (Although if you intend to stay in France, you WILL need to learn French).

I hope this helps,
Best,
JF

Thank you so much for the information.

Last two questions :
1. So should I apply to NYU R3 as suggested by other expert on forum?
2. Is the Rotman requirement for 8.0 GPA for an Indian student an absolute must criteria? I have 7.36, so not sure if I should apply or not. I have dropped the query to admissions as well, but they are delaying in responding. Please answer if you have any idea.

Thanks! :)

Sure thing!

1. I would advise against it. Plus its better to apply to ALL schools at once because then you can get some choices.

2. Apply anyhow. If your application is fantastic you'll still have a shot.

Best,
