Yes, Columbia is the only school I am applying to.

If I retake the exam and get a score lower than 710 will I be penalized by that?
Do you think Columbia will consider only the highest of the scores?

All the schools will consider only the highest GMAT score. You won't be penalized for scoring less in your later attempts.
