Fraction of male students applied = % of male students applied/Total % of students applied.

I'm getting E

It asking the % of male students. We dont know what the proportions of the remaining 25% is between Male and Female.

If the question is asking % of male students that applied for college, then B is correct.

I got B. I will try to explain my answer.

A) Doesn't give any information about boy to girl ratio.

B) Let there be a total of 100 students.
72%(M) + 80%(100-M) = 75
Solve, M = 62.5 of 100
Sufficient!

Is this correct?
