Hi OCSC1290,
It's quite common for candidates in Finance to land a Quant score that does not fully reflect their Quant capabilities. Schools do look at the score itself apart from the percentile. I personally think Q45 is a bit softer than I would like for the top 10 US schools. But if you did well in your Finance undergrad GPA, or have other credentials like the CFA, that can help offset any potential concerns AdCom might have. The ideal solution would of course be to retake the GMAT and get a score that better reflects your Quant capabilities. All that said, AdCom does evaluate your profile holistically to take into account other factors like how well you did in undergrad Quant classes and your work. Q45 in itself is not a deal-breaker.
If you'd like to discuss your profile in more detail, feel free to sign up for a free 30-minute consultation with us.

Debbie,
Thanks for your response. I just signed up for a consultation with Heidi, so I hope that will be helpful! If I have a Q47 (700 total) on a prior test, would submitting this do anything for me? In other words, will AdComs recognize the Q47 at all if I submit both scores?
Thanks!
