Just got home from my first attempt at the GMAT!
720 - 94%
Q47 - 76%
V41 - 92%
I used
MGMAT. The
MGMAT books were awesome. I did all of the math books over the last 2 months. No studying for verbal outside of the CAT practice tests. I found the
MGMAT CAT tests very difficult and didn't score above 600 in them. My GMAT Prep scores were: 760 Q50 V44 (before any studying), 770 (test 2 after studying), 780 Q49 V45 (re-took GMATPrep 1 last night).
The quant score is lower than in my GMATPrep tests. When I first saw the 720 I did a fist pump and a big sigh of relief. But then of course I hit that ever-so-dangerous "Google" link on my phone back out in my car and started looking at what it means to have a Q47 (76%).
Now I'm unsure if I want to re-take it to try and luckbox into a higher Quant score, or take my $250 set aside to re-register and go to Atlantic City to celebrate. If it had been one notch higher I'd be bouncing off the walls...but 76% combined with a 3.5 undergrad GPA and not much in the way of current extra-curriculars sounds like it might be a ball-buster.
I haven't even considered applying to B Schools, not really a goal in mind (ie, i could decide in a month to apply, or not till next year). Think I am better off trying to add some extra-curricular activities, or re-take the exam?
Thanks!!
