Might help to see a scoring grid to see the combo scores you can get a 760 with. You'll probably need to improve the Verbal to get the 760 you're looking for. It's possible to get a 760 with a Q50 V42, for example.

Hi theo4,

First off, a 730/Q50 is an outstanding Score, so you can comfortably apply to any Business Schools that interest you. As such, a retest is not necessary. Since you are interested in some highly-competitive Schools, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that could use some improvement. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

The good news is that you have a 730 in your back pocket, so if you think that you could hit 750+ with one more shot, I don't see any reason not to try. If you do not improve your GMAT score you can cancel and submit your 730. If you do end up retaking and need any advice, feel free to reach out. Also, here is a helpful article to check out:
