I am shocked with the V score.

I was flipping out as I was reading here that "people who do really well on V get 3 RC's in a row". I can testify that that is bunk. :)

I have no idea how I took my V34 to a V42 ...

Well, I do. And it's all SC.

1. Do OG and 1000SC questions like it's nobody's business
2. Go slow on sentence correction. Really really slow.
3. Always use the process of elimination
4. Think about other similar sentences in your mind (i.e., women blah blah blah have/has ... Figure out a different blah blah blah example that works for you). I know MGMAT suggests that this is the right thing to do for idioms, but I even used for subject-verb agreement (is it countable/uncountable), etc.

Big-0,

I took Princeton CAT today and scored 650 (Q50,V30), Do you think I am in the 700 range as princeton score doesn't appear to be a right indicator.

Awaiting a response.

Interesting coincidence, I also took the princeton CAT y'day and scored the same score 650 (Q50,V30). I'm finding it tough to improve the verbal scores. They range about the same on the couple of MGMAT tests I took few weeks back (V 30/31). I've identified pacing as the main problem as I'm forced to guess the last 6-7 questions.

AWA: 5.5 ... Was surprised, as I knew one essay was a 6, but thought the other one was a 4... Oh well

I do my verbal really fast... I had 8 minutes left in the verbal section by the time I finished.

You saw my history - only practice OG-10, OG-11 and GMATprep verbal statements.

Some key rules I remember:
- When you see "of", look for the subject before the of to determine appropriate verb tense
- Eliminate 'being'
- Don't memorize idioms. Subsitute other sentences you know into the sentences to see if the idioms work. Often times, I would substitute with comments about beer and chicks (or beer and hotty - singular ;-))
