Congratulations Guptaji !!! :-D

I Got 680 in my first attempt at GMAT with 31 in verbal & 50 in quant.
My target is 750+ score.

I have rough ly 20 days , Completely for GMAT, as i have taken break from work.

In last attempt i didn't give any practice tests.
I did OG11, 450 Qs of SC1000. I didn't practice RC at all.
My Quant is decent and i believe i can make it 51 in my next attempt but verbal is such a mystery.
please suggest me how can i work to meet the target, or how should i plan my work in coming weeks.
I can dedicate my 20 days completely to GMAT so time is enough for the cause

Looking fwd for your response.

Can you please elaborate the books that you are using for verbal.. as am nood these Abbr. looks to be real jargon..

guptaji, how well did the GMATCLUB prep tests help you during your prep? I am trying to correlate my percentages with what I should expect on the exam. I took a gmat prep exam, and I performed decently on the quant with a 49, but I would like to do a bit better.

Sorry for such a late response!

the GMATclub tests offer you some really good quality practice questions. Although I must admit that I only used the quants tests and not the verbal.

There is a big variance in the level of difficulty of the Quants section on the actual GMAT and that of the questions given in the OGs and OG supplements. The GMATclub tests offer you tough probing questions which will mold your approach and better equip you to handle the quants section on the GMAT. I wouldn't worry too much about how much you score in the GMATclub tests, as long as you see a visible change in your approach to tough PS & DS qns.

hope this helps.

@mansi
go thru the following links
official-list-of-gmat-club-acronyms-and-abbreviations-14126.html
SC1000 is a document (easily available on numerous file sharing websites) which contains a lot of retired official GMAT and unoffcial questions. I would not suggest this document for starters, as it contains a lot of errors.

also, go thru these links to get a better understanding on how to approach the GMAT:

THanks your response. How did you feel about the Manhattan Gmat quant sections compared to the actual GMAT? Currently, I am not the 48-49 level on the GMAT prep tests. I'd like score a 50 in the quant.

MGMAT quants section is really good and a tad bit tougher than the original GMAT. I would definitely recommend getting access to all their 6 tests.
You should also look at the GMATclub tests, as they offer a huge resource of quality questions.
Additionally, GMAC offers something called GMAT Focus; a set of tests with tough quants questions. I never used them, but heard a lot of good things about them. you could check that out as well.
