Dear GMAT Club Students,
I bring to you a story so powerful that once you read this, you will believe that dreams do come true, no matter what. All it takes is diligence and an iron-willed determination. Every time I read it, it makes me dream of better things!
Valentin began his journey much like most students – looking out for the right content, talking to his peers, and then getting started. Fast forward 2 months; several books; OG question practice – Valentin found himself in a familiar situation. A score that did not do justice to the time he put into it.
Having a background in Management Consulting, Valentin understood that data could help him make steady progress to his target score. He also knew that data creates magic only when it is analyzed properly. So, even while preparing with books, a 620 score in his first mock test was enough to make him realize that his methods aren't yielding results. Realizing that something had to change is always a step in the right direction.
This is when Valentin became an eGMATer and the rest is history! A lot of preparation companies out there talk about data, but he needed data he could trust; hence he chose @e-gmat.
I found what he talked about insightful – he wanted a way to STRUCTURE and DEEPEN his understanding of all that he has done before this. That struck a chord with me because it can be exasperating to know that you are almost there but not there yet. Isn’t this something you felt before? You tell me!“eGMAT really has a unique approach to exam preparation. The highlights are Structured Approach to Preparation, Quality of Content, Power of the Scholaranium platform” - Valentin upon scoring a 760 and reminiscing how eGMAT helped him.
After completing the eGMAT course, Valentin scored a 760 in his first GMAT attempt despite having a 12+ hour work commitment. (BCG is no cakewalk

)
Valentin was very confident, and his success was only a matter of time as he completed the
e-GMAT course well and secured the threshold scores one needs to get to move to the final stage of preparation.

But what was the missing link? Was it the data? Was it the structure or having better answers? The secret sauce was that personalised attention he got. We all crave for it but it’s something you never get with a self-paced online course sitting halfway across the world, right?
Valentin worked with a strategy mentor on a 1-1 setting which helped him finetune his skills.
Archit, his e-GMAT mentor writes “I still remember how hectic your work was. Yet, you completed all the daily milestones assigned to you. You trusted and followed the right structure, and that reflected in your final score”.
“Now, a very personal piece of advice: if you can invest ~350 USD and are prepared to be consistent on your prep, go for eGMAT – they really are the best out there. Doing well at the GMAT is 30% content, 30% process, 30% consistency in your prep, and 10% luck – eGMAT will help you with the first three.”Sage advice don’t you think? But let me lay emphasis that it requires a commitment. He made it.
Valentin scored a 760 and a few months later got into Harvard. He did not just get into HBS, he secured an 85% scholarship from a school that offers admissions sparingly forget about a scholarship!
I hope you found this helpful in some way. Are you looking to find answers to your questions? I am sure you are. I am right here, and I would love to take each one of them😊
Warm Regards,
Dhananjay(aka DJ)
