off the top of my head i will go for c here, but I am not sure.

x,y, z have to be fractions otherwise the sum of 8* + 4 * + 5 * wont add up to 3.

A. y can be 1/4 or 1/2 but A alone is not suff
B. z can be 1/5

together y cant be 1/2 as x is positive number, so y=1/4

suff to calculate x.

but i m not sure about the answer.

I also get c because both 4y and 5z being positive inntegers we can solve for x.

(A) & (B) are insuff

4y can be any integer such as 1, 2, 3 etc
5z can be any integer such as 1, 2, 3, 5 etc

8x+4y+5z =3

4y = 2
5z = 1
x=0

But 0 is neither negative nor positive so this is not acceptable value of x.

the only other possibility is :
4y=1
5z=1
x=1/8

4y=1
5z=1
x=1/8

C and I must admit this is a good explanation (which is the same one i was about to type).
