Hello Experts,
I had my 1st attempt of GMAT in Feb 15 and had scored 570 ( Q 41, V 28). In pursuit of improving my score I gave another attempt in Oct 15 but to my dismay scored 550 ( Q 43, V23). Though I have
canceled my score but I believe it would appear as 'Canceled' in my records.
The question here is- I have around 9.5 years of IT experience ( working for a Major US MNC as an SCM Consultant) and I am already in a mid-managerial role. Do I stand any chances if I go ahead with this score (570) and start applying? Should I now start focussing more on the application part and can my overall experience compensate for my low score? OR should I think of re-attempting the GMAT one last time and try to get the score around atleast 650 mark?
Below is the programs/schools which I am targetting ( mostly Indian schools) :
Indian Institute of Managment, Ahmedabad (PGPX)
Indian Institute of Managment, Bangalore (EPGP)
NUS MBA Program
Indian Institute of Managment, Calcutta (PGPEX)
Indian Institute of Managment, Lucknow (IPMX)
Please advice.

Hi, First of all, please don't be disheartened with what I am going to inform you but it's only going to be a fact.
One of my college batch mate applied in IIMs this year with a score of 670. Profile - 9 years exp, IT Background, Working as a Manager in Accenture (Mid Management profile, manages a team of 52 resources). Guess what? He didn't even got interview call. People like us, from IT background, need to break 700 barrier to apply in these colleges, not sure about IIML, but very much sure about IIMA/B/C
So my dear friend all I want to tell you is that IIMs will put your application in bin if you apply with 570, sorry to say this but it's a fact. 570 might work for those who are working in higher management role or may be for those who are from a different background like Indian Army/Air force/Navy.
My advice to you is to pull up your socks and fight again to get a GMAT score of 720+. Please note even 650 won't do much for you if you are planning for IIMs. With 650 you can get interview calls from SP Jain and XLRI.
Just to add one more point - I am not a expert here. Commented because there is nothing wrong in sharing my 2 cents

You're ultimately asking Admissions questions though, so you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile. There's a Forum full of them here:

Since you've named some highly competitive Programs, your score is likely outside the range of those Schools; however, if you have a strong OVERALL profile, then other aspects of your application can over-compensate for a lower GMAT score.
1) When are you planning to apply?
If you do decide to retest, you should post back here and we can talk through your study options.
