I get 29 as well.

12 has 16 multiples and 13 has 15 multiples for a total of 31 multiples. When you take out 156 from both sets you get 29???

200/12=16

200/13*12=1

15+16=31-1=30.

12 has 16 multiples and 13 has 15 multiples for a total of 31 multiples. When you take out 156 from both sets you get 29???


there is only one 156 among the multiples of 12 and 13 which is less than 156
so count it as one integer/number

13(13,26,39,52,65,78,91,104,117,130,143,156,169,182,195) = 15 multiples

That's a total of 31 multiples.

You know have to remove 156 from BOTH sets which leave 29 multiples.

You r right, i am just trying to play around with this quesiton differently which i thought correct, i think i got the stem wrong
additional assumptions lead to that answer
