Split 1:
We have a list here. Working modifies the preceeding phrase, this changes the intended meaning. Hence, we need a noun to make the list parallel, "a four day work week".
Eliminate A, D, E.
Split 2:
We have multiple items (demands) in the list. Hence we need 'are' instead of 'is'.
Eliminate B.
C is the best answer.
