Perfume price = $225 = Product price + sales tax
225 = Product Price + (1/5)*Product Price.
(6/5) * Product Price = $225.
Product Price = 187.5
Sales tax = 37.5
Now, coming to the bottle 40gm.
40 gm = Weight of glass bottle + Weight of Perfume.
40gm = w + x
If glass bottle weight is reduced by 20% , the total weight decreases by 5% = 40*5% = 2 gm drop.
38 gm = 0.8w + x
2 gm = 0.2 w
W = 10 gm.
Then, x = 30 gm.
If , 30 gm Perfume excluding tax costs 187.5
Then 1 kg = 1000 gm costs ?
1 Kg =(187.5*1000) / 30 = $ 6,250.
