990/11 = 90 ---> numbers divisable by 11

990/35 = 28 ---> numbers divisable by 35

770/(35*11)=2 ---> remove duplications.

1000 - (90+28-2) = 884

the answer is (A)

I got A.

1000 numbers total
divisible by 11: 1000/11 =90
divisible by 35: 1000/35 = 28
divisible by 35*11: 1000/(35*11) = 2

Answer = 1000-90-28+2 = 884

I got it now!!

We need to remove multiples of 35*11 cuz they are already counted.
The OE put it in a slightly diff way, which made it difficult to understand.
OE says to remove multiples of 35*11 because the questions is asking for
numbers not divisible by EITHER 11 OR 35, but not by BOTH. Which is not true, and multiples of both 11 and 35 are still mupltiples of 11 or 35.
