A invest 5000 for 3 months, 4500 for 4 months and 3600 for 5 months and gets a interest of 1000
(5000*R*3/12*100)+(4500*R*4/12*100)+(3600*R*5/12*100)=1000
R=1200/51
For B,
((P*1200/51*1)/100)=800
P=3400
(5000*R*3/12*100)+(4500*R*4/12*100)+(3600*R*5/12*100)=1000
R=1200/51
For B,
((P*1200/51*1)/100)=800
P=3400

Let, R = rate of interest per month,
Interest earned by A = 1800-800 = $1000 = $5000 for 3 months + $4500 for 4 months + $3600 for 5 months = $5000*R/100*3 + $4500*R/100*4 + $3600*R/100*5 = (150+180+180)*R = 510R = 1000 or, R = 100/51
Now, for B = 800 = b*(100/51)*(1/100)*12 = 3400.
So, I think D.
