sometimes, rephrasing the question would make the question much easier.
Is a^b>10^4?
from i, if a = 1, and b = 19, no. if a = 16 and b = 4, then a^b = 16^4 and the answer is yes.
from ii, if a = 2 and b = 18, b^a = 18^2 < 10^10. if a = 18 and b = 2, b^a = 2^18 < 10^10.
combined also the same. so E makes sense..
