If b divided by c gives a remainder 8, means c>8 and b is at least 8..
So least value of b and c are 8 and 9....

a divided by b gives 3 as remainder, and b is at least 8, so a can have its least value as 3

a+b+c=3+8+9=20

The trick is zero
Think a div by b = 0 r 3 means a = 3
b div c= 0 r 8 b=8
C must be larger than 8 c = 9 to minimize
3+8+9=20

Tricky but in general if a question has remainders and minimums you don’t even need to think about relationships.
