Let x be in second group and first group = x+16
x+16+x=60 ==> 2x = 44
x=22

Let the number of marbles in 2nd group = n
first group contains 16 more marbles than the second group
--> Number of marbles in 1st group = n + 16
Given, n + (n + 16) = 60
--> 2n + 16 = 60
--> 2n = 44
--> n = 22
Larger = n + 16 = 22 + 16 = 38
IMO Option C
