15% of 15 miles = 2.25

Bus travels 2.25 more per gallon after tune up. I.e Bus travels 17.25 in 1 lit.

To travel 150 miles, it will need = 150/17.25 = 8.695... which can be rounded to 8.7

Hi, I would like to understand if there is an logical approach to arrive at the solution without having to perform the long division. What do you think?

Thanks a lot
