Amount of meat left: 80% of 240kg = 192kgs

25% profit on $380 is $475.

475/192 = 2.47

Since 20 percent of 240 kg of beef is unusable, total beef to be sold by the butcher = 80% of 240 kg = 192 kg
Required profit = 25% ,i.e., total amount from beef sale = 380 + 25% of 380 = 380 + 95 = $475
Average price per kilogram = Total price of beef sale / total amount of beef sold in kgs = 475/192 = $2.47 / kg
Hence, answer D) $2.47
