Statement A says (1) Of the 11 ink pens removed, 5 were black.
Which means it is possible that there are more than 11 pens are removed however out of 11 pens 5 are black. Lets say 15 pens have been removed and 9 are black. So after 4 Black pens are separated than of the 11 pens removed 5 are black.


Your interpretation suggests there could be more than 11 pens removed, but in the context of standardized problems, the statement "Of the 11 ink pens removed, 5 were black" typically means that exactly 11 pens were removed, with 5 of them being black.
