Answer A.

Let Corn profit = 3x

Wheat profit = x

Truffle Profit = 4/5 * 3x = 12/5 * x

Wheat Profit / Truffle Profit = x / [12/5 * x] = 5/12.

tuff - x
corn - 5x/4
wheat - 1/3(5/4)x

(1/3)(5/4)x : x => 5:12 0r 5/12

We can let the profit from a bushel of wheat, corn, and truffles = W, C, and T, respectively, and create the following equations:

W = C/3

and

C = 5T/4

4C = 5T

4C/5 = T

Thus, T/W = (4C/5)/(C/3) = 12C/5C = 12/5.

Answer: E
