100 kms = 9 liters
15 liters = 4 gallons
5 miles = 8 kms
12 gallons = ?
Use Unitary Method here:
4 gallons = 15 liters
12 gallons = ?
(15/4)*12 = 45 liters
9 liters => 100 kms
45 liters => ?
(100/9)*45 = 500 kms
8 kms = 5 miles
500 kms = ?
(5/8)*500 = 312.5 miles, approx. 310 miles
Hence, the correct answer is Option E, i.e., 310 miles

Then convert gallons to liters:
(15/4)*12 = 45 liters
Now we find the total distance traveled:
= 45/0.09= 500kms
Lastly we convert kms to miles:
= 500*5/8 ≈313 miles
So the nearest option is 310 ie
