A certain liquid fertilizer contains 10 percent mineral X by volume. If a farmer wishes to treat a crop with 3/4 of a liter of mineral X per acre, how many acres can he treat with 300 liters of the liquid fertilizer?

(A) 40

(B) 24

(C) 18

(D) 16

(E) 12

Fertiliser 10% mineral x by volume 1 litre 100 ml of mineral X
using 3/4 litre = 750 ml of liquid x per acre for this 7500 of fertiliser is needed

1 acre of land 7.5 litres of fertiliser is used which gives 3/4 ( 750 ml) of mineral X

7.5 ~ 1
300 ~ ?

300/7.5 = 40

(A) imo
