In this question, we are given that
- • A circle is divided into four sections
• Three sections constitute 1/4, 2/5 and 3/10 of its total area, respectively
To find
We need to determine
- • The fractional value of the area of the fourth section
Approach and Working out
Total proportion of area of the three sections = \(\frac{1}{4} + \frac{2}{5} + \frac{3}{10} = \frac{5}{20} + \frac{8}{20} + \frac{6}{20} = \frac{19}{20}\)
- • Remaining area = \(1 – \frac{19}{20} = \frac{1}{20}\)
Thus, option E is the correct answer.
