A college has raised 75% of the amount it needs for a new building by receiving an average donation of Rs. 600 from the people already solicited. The people already solicited represent 60% of the people the college will ask for donations. If the college is to raise exactly the amount needed for the new building, what should be the average donation from the remaining people to be solicited?

Approach:
- Given: Average donation of Rs. 600 from the people already solicited.
- Assume Total people: 100
- Amount already collected: 75% of Total which is equivalent to \(600*\frac{60}{100}*100 = 36000\)
- Hence Total amount to be collected is 48000
- Pending amount to be collected: 48000 - 36000 = 12000
- No of people left to contribute: 100 - 60 = 40
- Hence, Per person amount would be 12000/40 = Rs 300

Hence, 6 have donated and 4 yet to donate.
\(Amount Raised = 6*600=3600\)
As the college raised 75% of the total required:
\(Total Required = \frac{3600}{0,75}=4800\)
As a consequence, it needs to raise \(4800-3600=1200\), over the 4 remaining people
\(\frac{1200}{4}=300\)
