Solution

Given:
    • Profits obtained from Product A, Product B, and Product C, are in the ratio 47:1:2, respectively
    • Total profit from these three products is $16,000

To Find:
    • The profit from Product C

Approach & Working Out:
    • 47x + x + 2x = $16,000
      o Implies, x = \(\frac{$16,000}{50} = $320\)

    • Therefore, the profit from Product C = 2 * $320 = $640

Hence, the correct answer is Option D

A company's profits obtained from Product A, Product B, and Product C are in the ratio 47:1:2, respectively. If the total profits from these three products is $16,000, what is the profit from Product C?

A. $1,610
B. $1,290
C. $960
D. $640
E. $320

We can create the equation:

47x + x + 2x = 16,000

50x = 16,000

x = 320

Thus, the profit from Product C is 2x = 640 dollars.
