using LCM formula

LCM for 600 and 375=3000, therefore 5 + 8=13 computers


how do you reach to the 5+8 part >> please explain

600/375 = 8/5

That means 5 times 600 and 8 times 375 yield the same result = 3000. Therefore the company can spend equal amounts on both printers by buying 5 of the 600 variety and 8 of the 375. Thus total becomes 13
