A cuban cigar would cost 1 dollar less than 1.5 times a French cigar, had the french cigar cost 0.7 dollar less than it does now. An Arabian cigar costs 50 cents more than 1.5 times the Cuban cigar. The three cigars together cost 74.70. What is the price of the French cigar?

Ans is $16.70
Lets cost of French Cigar = x
Cost of Cuban Cigar = 1.5 (x-0.7) - 1 => 1.5x - 2.05
Cost of Arabian Cigar = 1.5 times of cuban cigar
= 1.5 (1.5x - 2.05) => 2.25x - 2.575
Adding all
x + 1.5x - 2.05 + 2.25x - 2.575 = 74.70
4.75x - 4.625 = 74.70
4.75x = 79.325 => x = 16.70 (Cost of French Cigar)
Lets cost of French Cigar = x
