A direct flight from Lima to Cuzco was diverted to Arequipa due to unexpected bad weather. 163 passengers were on the flight when it finally arrived at Cuzco. How many passengers boarded the flight in Arequipa?
(1) When the plane took off from Lima, 184 people were on board.
(2) 30 people chose to disembark at Arequipa and did not re-board the flight.

So due to bad bad weather fight followed path L-A-C instead of direct flight L-C
(1) When the plane took off from Lima, 184 people were on board.
So initially 184 boarded then 163 got off we cannot say how many got on from Arequipa .
Let 40 got off at Arequipa and 19 got on at Arequipa hence 184-40+19 =163
Let 50 got off at Arequipa and 29 got on at Arequipa hence 184-50+29 =163
Etc.
Hence there can be many cases

Now we know how many got off at Arequipa , but we do not know how many boarded initially. Hence we cannot calculate how many got on board at Arequipa .
