Re: A family drove from home to a vacation destination 100 miles away, dri [#permalink]
the family drove 50 miles at \(\frac{50 miles}{hr}\), and 50 miles at \(\frac{20 miles}{hr}\). Therefore,
Travel time = (50 miles / \(\frac{50 miles}{hr}\)) + (50 miles / \(\frac{20 miles}{hr}\))
= 1 hr + 2.5 hrs
=3.5 hrs
