By process of elimination, C stands out as the correct one.
A) No mention of an actor's salary being a reason for people to come to movies. Cross. B) Again, out of scope, an actor's willingness to sign with a movies does not mean he or she will attract more audience. Cross. C) J.D. has a lot of fans, hmm, this could actually help lure more people to watch his movies. This statement also says that T.C. is not a big attraction for people. Hold on to this option. It might be what we are looking for. D) Again, out of scope. E) Nothing was mentioned regarding economy.
On an off-topic note, isn't the usage of possessive pronoun 'their' incorrectly used to refer back to the 'Company'? I believe usage of 'its' would be better accounted for.. if that is the case this question is not representative of GMAT.

I agree with you but it seems that we are talking about a person when we refer to a company, a thinking entity.
