If both B and C had 1/4 of what A has then each B and C would have A/4 and A/4, so: A=A/4+A/4+18 --> A=36.

We can make an equation :

A=18+ (B+C)/4 or 18+A/4+A/4
4A=72+2A
2A=72
A=72/2
A=36 (D)
