A Job in Finance

Hi,
Just a simple question, if I want to pursue a job in say, Finance or Accounting, preferably finance - do I need a degree in specific for Finance? I'm currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Strategic Design and Management at Parsons, the New School; going into my 3rd year. I realized that although it is generally a degree in business management and offers one Finance semester long class, can I get a job/internship in Finance with a general BBA degree?
I have been learning Corporate Finance and Accounting outside school taking credited classes elsewhere and teaching it to myself, but do hiring managers for internships and jobs care?
I'd like to pursue a career path in financial management and analysis of stocks and so.
I'd like to either become a stockbroker or have another career in finance such as Financial Analyst or advisor.
Thanks,
Shu
