Hi guys,
I took the GMAT last Monday; my performance was impacted by the earthquake that struck my city where I was taking the exam, and I ended up w/t a 640 (46/33) on my first attempt. I had put in about 1 month of prep into it, and will take the gMAT next in about a week's time; R2 deadlines, as most of you know, are approaching. Prior to taking the actual GMAT, I had done just one GMAT prep test, on which I got a 670 (47/35), and 5
Manhattan GMAT exams on which my score hovered around the 660 - 670 range. Goal is to break 730+
I got the quant covered now. I am concerned about my CR abilities. While prepping for the actual exam, I used Grockit extensively to improve my CR abilities, and was on the 75% accuracy (harder questions). In general, even while using
Manhattan GMAT, I would only get 2 / 3 wrong, at most, out of the 13 / 14 questions that would show up on the CAT. On the actual GMAT, however, I bombed CR and got a 42nd percentile..... My BIGGEST problem, both in CR and life,is that I overthink everything, because of which I lose time.
Can someone please advise me on how should I structure my CR prep over the next few days, more specifically, which resources should I use? I am leading towards just using GMAT question pack 1 and the GMAT Prep tests. I found other materials not to be a true indicator of the actual CR questions..but most likely that's just me.
Thanks guys!
Additional info that might be helpful includes that my SC abilities are good (85% percentile) and that my RC abilities are sub par at the moment (67% percentile). I hadn't prepped for RC at all prior to taking the exam, since I Was relying on CR and SC to push me through, but now I am looking into it.
