A man has 50 mangoes and he places the 50 mangoes like this: the distance between 1and 2 is 1 yard and the distance between 2 and 3 is 3 yards and the distance between 3 and 4 is 5 yards; like this he increases the distance between mangoes in steps of two. After arranging them like that and if he start picking them up how much yard he has to walk?

from the pattern we see that we have an odd incremental...
1+3+5+7+...91+93+95+97
If you add the largest and the smallest you get 98. Keep this pattern going... you will notice that you will end up with 24 of 98 sums. But the middle of the sequence will be at mango 25 and the yardage is 49.
