What I understand is 6 chains need 6 links to connect them. And one weld is required to fix it at the junction of first and last joint.

So , 6*30+20*1 =200 is the answer.

But I came into this understanding only after seeing the answer. Not sure how to come to this conclusion if I didn't know the answer.
