30% less than 1.30 is not 1, it is 1.30 - (1.30*30/100) = 0.91

Make it clearer:

Let's call the price of more expensive one is A
So the price of cheaper one is 70%*A
Call x is the percent need to increase the price of the cheaper so that the prices of the two are equal.

70%*A*(1+x) = A
or (7/10)*A*(1+x) = A
=> 1 + x = 10/7
=> x = 3/7
or (42+6/7)%
