A milkman adds 5 liters of water to a certain quantity of pure milk costing $3/liter. He sells the mixture at the same price as before and makes a profit of 20%. What is the percentage of milk in the mixture?

a) 83.33
b) 93.33
c) 73.33
d) 55
e) 68

First of all, how awful is the milkman that would do such a thing?! more seriously, I am having trouble with this problem. I get 80% as the answer, so I would guess 83.33% since they are close. Can someone walk me through this?

It's 83.33%

Assuming x is the volume of milk...

x liters cost 3x
After adding water, x+5 liters were sold for 3(x+5)

So percentage profit = [3(x+5) - 3x]*100 / 3x which is equal to 20
Solving for x gives x=25

Percentage of x = 25*100/30 = 83.33%

I think I am still missing something. Sometimes these problems get you so hung up you cannot see them clearly.
Is the 30 the 25M+5W? Just double checking
